Cans off a carb Bird on to an injected Bird ??

Does anyone know if a set of ART cans from a carb bike will run ok on my 03 injection bike without any other mods ??

Can any of our "resident expertts" help this chap. He rolled up last night to see us all at Bassets Pole but like me it was just at the end when folks were all leaving. R2B2 and I chatted with him for while and he was asking about this but we wern't sure if anything had to be done with the oxygen sensor.

He has an offer of a pair of ART cans at a good price but doesn't want to get 'em if he cant use 'em - obvious really! (I notice by the way that ART have just gone into recievership.

We suggested he posted here as he'd get lots of help (just don't mention tyre pressures).

Well~~~

As far as I'm aware just fit and ride - I transferred the Titanium IXIL pipes from a carbed Bird to a FI Bird and all seems OK

Seem to recall that once fitted, to remap just hold the revs at 4K for about 30 seconds, the revs will eventually drop as it remaps then it resets itself - should all be OK

Tickover seems a bit lumpy but it works fine for me ;-)

It should sort itself out....as long as the back pressure differences are not too great then no probs....the O2 sensor is chuff all to do with the silencing so won't be affected unless as I say, the BP is wildly different.
