Thanks for all your inputs and suggestions. I take on board all your comments,The BB is my fourth bike I have had. the bikes included a varadero, a Suzuki SV 650K3, a Hornet 900 and the BB none of the previous bike have given me any problems before.

I have to agree with Supabird1100. I belive, for me also that the riding position just does not suit... :bang:

I really don't want to go to a Chiropractor or have any other type of manipulation done to my neck...as I have never suffered with these problems until I satrted ridding the bike for longer periods of time, I think the long term solution, for my health is that the bike must go...

So, anyone intersted in a 4 week old 04 Matt Black BB, with a datatool 3 alarm system, nice bar raisers an MRA Vario, tank cover, nice comfy seat from all bought from 1200Pete last week... oh and a Givi wing setup with 40ltr top box let me know... cause if no one on here wants it, it will go to a dealer somwhere in PX for something more upright. As I said thanks to everyone for their input, but seriously I really dont want to be driving myself mad with this and ending up with a permanent neck problem just because of a bike.. :dunno:

For the sake of ?50.00 for a chiropractor to check you out has to be for nothing compared to the loss on the bike.

There is also no reason for it to be permanant if you do get it checked, how will you know that it won't continue with another bike?

Just a few more thoughts for ya. :dunno:

STOP!!!!

I was hammering the weights when i first bought the BB and suffered the symptoms your encountering.
I had very tight trapezius muscles which used to go into spasm causing a bad nausiating burning sensation, my remedy was to work the muscles with lighter weight and more movement.
I don't know what job you do but if your lifting heavy articles about above waist height regularly then you'll build these muscles wether or not you think it..
Try getting a set of 10kg dumbells and shrugging your shoulders and rolling them backwards & forwards (shoulders not the weights) with the dumbells in place. I KNOW this works as i've done it.. Also check to see if your helmet is too heavy, try a lighter option for a ride and see what difference it makes.
The burning sensation is LACTIC acid build up caused by unusual or over worked muscle use.http://images.google.com/imgres?img...ulder+shrugs&start=20&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&sa=N

I agree fully with the above after you check out your back, as it may exacerbate the problem initially.
