Bullying

We recently found out that my 11 year old niece Becky is being bullied at school, apparently my sister in law & her husband have been to the school four times to get something done about it and all they get out of the headmaster is "Kids fall out then make friends" I told my Sister in law to ask the Headmaster what anti-bullying strategies they have in place I am gob smacked to find out they don't believe that they have a problem with bullying so therefore don't need any anti-bullying policies, my sister in law has now moved Becky to another school which does have an anti-bullying policy and an anti-bullying coordinator, I find it hard to believe that in this day and age not all schools take bullying seriously.

Take it to the school governors. Where my girlfriend works they have a zero-tolerence for bullying, and offending kids get removed from lessons or school completely for various durations.

Kids know the difference between a fight and bullying, and I'm sure teachers do too.

Derek, don't take no for an answer mate. If the headmaster isn't interested go over his head.
I certainly would, but I would tell him what I was going to do as well.

I dont like the feeling of being a sneaky barsteward, and like to be "straight up" and call a spade a spade so to speak. A bit like at work, if you know what I mean.

I was under the impression that all schools had to have an anti bullying strategy.

If there is one thing I can't stand it's bullying, in any context. Fookin go to town....b0x1

Speaking of which, did you get that "neighbour disagreement" resolved?
Thats the same issue without kids being involved:mad:

Thats it Im up for a ruck now,, anyone want to fight a gimp?s04pb0x6

Also write to the L.E.A. and ofsted to complain that no policy exists. I thought these days every school was obliged to have such stategies in place.

The in laws have dealt with it their way ie moving Becky to another school, perhaps for the better if the original school cannot assure them of Becky's safety.
When my eldest daughter was being bullied at school the headmaster was ineffective so Bev & I went to see the parents, Bev told the kids mother that if the bullying didn't stop that whatever her kid did to Sarah, she (Bev) would do to her (the mother) the bulying stopped.

Neighbour dispute I believe is now settled the hedge still stands, the neighbour has put his house up for sale, so victory to me.
our house is also up for sale but nothing to do with the dispute.

My young sister was heavily bullied at school when she was about 12/13. It was getting quite physical for her, so I taught her some self defence and what the law is on it; i.e the right to make a pre-emptive strike if you believe you are about to be physically attacked (common law self defence). A few weeks later I was called into the heads office (I am 15 years older than my sis and the only male influence in her life) cos she had smacked one of the little tw*ts in the nose. A brief argument between me and the head ensued where i told her the law and the fact that the school was doing nothing about it. If she wanted to take it further be my guest but the papers and local auth would hear about it. Funny old thing she didn't do anymore about it and had the main bully removed. My sis was left alone from the moment she punched the little sh*t.

The point is that the head was no less a bully herself as she was effectively turning a blind eye and in doing so encouraging the bullies to carry on. So, don't let them get away with it. Keep going into the school and demanding action.

You would have thought that at least one of those places would have let you stay.

It's worse than I thought, a Nomadic New Age Traveller (Or is that the same thing?) Please don't park on our common land at the shore, it's only just been cleaned from the last New age invasion 18 years ago. Is your new caravan horse drawn Derek? If so, could you drop off some manure for the roses please. I know you are more used to the smell of Bullshit but horseshit will do sh1tehppns

Alas it was never intended that I stay at any of the places for too long, as my missionary work carries on I must go where I am needed, here in Barnsley there is hope, Down south I'm afraid they are beyond redemption, some that have seen the light have managed to escape the desperate struggle of life in the south and travelled to the true Mecca that is Yorkshire
