Is that angle or focal length ?
I suspect it is as you said, angle..
The wider the angle the faster things seem, but the bigger the gaps seem.. So for instance a track day cam might be best with wide angle, while road cam something with a little less panorama ( longer focal length )

Hate to say this, although may save your dosh..

but I think you are looking at the wrong things here. These are for CCTV and survellance. They are DC powered. What you want are Helmet Cameras.

I know this as I have searched in the past.................

right website, wrong page!!!

http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/helmet_cameras.htm

You see they are more expensive, you must make sure you have a camera with an AV-IN socket, if not forget it. I ran into this problem with my previous digi cam, so bought another one with this facility. ONly thing now is I cannot afford the helmet cam!!!!

These other two are USA sites

Now this is a very worthwhile issue and one that you really should address b4 buying any camera. Also, remember the UK uses a PAL system with the sound subcarrier set at 6 megs ( from memory ) which is EURO I ), so if you buy a recorder from across the waters be sure it is compatible
