Got stopped on my way to work today by an upstanding officer of the law. He went on to, "advise", me that he didn't like the way I'd filtered in the heavy traffic (less than 5mph at times), that did I realise how it antagonised other drivers (not him surely, as he was stuck in the queues)? and how he didn't like motorcyclists as they always blamed other road users in any accidents. He went on to say how cold it was and not all the roads were gritted properly. Anyhow, after he got his problems off his chest off he went. No provider, no warning, just a lecture. Hope he felt better, because HE HAD NO REASON to stop me other than he was probably having a bad day. Good job I didnt mention that he had been up my arse in a 50 limit for over a mile hoping I'd speed, and only when I didn't was frustrated enough to have a go at me. I didn't reciprocate or rise to his rantings, but if he was trying to get across a safety message, I'm buggered if I know what it was. If I was in the mood, I'd write to his chief constable. He is overdue for an attitude adjustment.
