I jump out of bed, lean out the bedroom window and call " just a second".
I run down stairs getting my jeans on as I go.
Open the door and the impatient git is just getting back in his van with my new Visor!! (See the bike connection there).

I had to go down the drive to him, and sign for the box. Ignorant barsteward.

Do they think everyone is up at 06.45 in the morning, and if not, give them a few moments to get to the door.

delivery strokers in vans .......

Parcelforce ....... hhhmmmm, same bloke, comes into our village every day around 8am. When I was perhaps popping for my paper etc he would hurtle through the place. Some days I would drive past him and he was giving nothing on the narrow lanes. One day he (unfortunately for him) came down my lane to deliver something, single track, green lane. So I reversed my car into the lane, locked it up and popped back into the house. 3 mins later, "knock knock". "can you move your car" etc, so I said, "nope, you drive too fast around here and you're a bit of a cock all round, you owe the world some time, so it's payback". I moved the car 15 mins later, when I had finished my coffee.
long story short, he drives slower in the village and always gives me a wide berth when I pass him in the morning, he even smiles a bit more nowadays ... sometimes. :-0)

6.45, by that time I've got up, had a shit,shower,shave, got dressed, walked the dogs [depending on weather] driven ten miles to work,had a bit of banter with my mates on the wings, opened the kitchen, tested my alarm bells, got all my early jobs done had a coffee & either had a bowl of cereal or put the bacon on for the butties when the rest of the team come in.

I wasn't actually complaining about the time of the delivery, I was complaining about the fact he hadn't bothered to wait for more than about 30 seconds.
Surly he realised that people may still be in bed at that time.

best time of the day for a delivery, no traffic, 90% of the people actually in!! albeit in bed :-0) they get their Good's early so the have time to play with whatever it was delivered,:bow:
