I once spent an hour or so walking up and down the levels of carpark looking for my rented silver Ford Focus, only to finally remember that it was in the virtually identical carpark in the next street.

I was on the way back from Italy on the bike.. Put Calais in the GPS
I thought things were going wrong when I started seeing signs to Bordeaux
Did you know there are two bloody Calais in France

I parked up to get on the hovercraft for the isle of wright festival (first one) and on return a couple of
days later, it took me over 4hrs to find my car hiding behind some bushes just over the road from the hover
craft landing station, just where I left it.

I parked up, went into a shop & bought a magazine as well as what I went for, came out, pressed the bipper while looking at the magazine & promptly got into the wrong car which took quite a bit of explaining as it was occupied at the time

Coming home from school I got off the bus walked in the back door, thought ooh we got a new sofa & sat down ....... yep you guessed it wrong house, we had moved up the road 6 months before
As a teen I got on the last bus home after a heavy session & promptly fell asleep only to wake up 2 hours later in the bus station, the driver had done the whole circuit including going right past my house without realising I was still on there & I was now 4 miles further from home than when I started
that was a long night !
In the midst of the troubles a guy I knew from Belfast double parked to dash in to collect theatre tickets in Dublin.
When he came out there was a guy sitting in the driver's seat. He pulled open the door a shouted at him (in best N.I. accent.)
As he was ranting he suddenly saw his car was in front of that car - same model same colour.
I'm sure the owner got a fright. Probably thought he was being hijacked.

Mother in law parked up on the harbour at Conway, she and her friend got fish and chips and sat eating them while enjoying the view. she decided to give her dogs a drink of water but could not find the bowl or the water. It then became obvious they were in the wrong car, a red Renault 4. they removed themselves and the dogs walked further along the quay to find her car. I would have loved to see the rightful owners face when they got back in their car and noticed the overwhelming smell of fish chips and vinegar
