I sat there last night swapping a non-working wireless keyboard, swapping the receiver, swapping computers. Then Matthew (aged 11) suggested the keyboard batteries might be flat.

He was right. Cheap keyboard came with cheap batteries that lasted 2 weeks.

That started out as a long essay on the various computer problems I had last night (printer, desktop PC, and laptop!), then as I hit backspace to get rid of a smiley I didn't want, it took me back to the forums list! Hit forward and it went to a totally blank posting, so I typed in I HATE COMPUTERS and posted it. Evidently, the post I'd typed previously left the big space it was missing from.

Today's been slightly better, but I haven't been near the dead desktop.........

Aye, since they brought in electronic ignition, I'm stuffed. Can't remove your rotor arm any more. That was always a good wheeze, amazing how long people could look around under the bonnet/distributor cap and not notice it missing............
