useless, the lot of them. Long story short - we placed a sizable deposit (to give you a clue - enough to buy a couple of decent sized towns in Yorkshire but less than ?100k) with Coop 12 months ago and gave instructions where to pay it at expiry a couple of weeks in advance. Here we are 10 days after expiry still waiting for the money to be repaid to our bank account. So far I have made 5 telephone calls, but they have now promised it 'should be in our bank account by close of business tomorrow - and the transfer will be made free of charge'. Yipdeebloodydoo. Should be shot, the lot of them.

Less than 100K? Not worth bothering about. Small change to most of us on here. p0pc0rn41

Know what you mean, again a long story short. Sold one of our property's and invested the money in a high yield acc' the bank were given strict instructions that the interest was to be paid annually into our mortgage account as we didnt want it for capital growth, and yes, they fucked it up.
Mind you they are talking compo for costs incurred for their fuck up, again not much, but would prolly buy a street or two in Yorkshire

Jeez I wouldnt, I like my money to work for me, not chuck it down pit.

Maybe he wants to evict Derek? :dunno:

Jeez no, best to keep all the peasants where you know where they are.

Couldn't afford to, I own Yorkshire.

Jeez, I am a lucky boy, just checked down the back of the sofa and found enough loose change to buy it off of you

Lions, Derek.

I will not bite, I will leave that to the ex miners.

Led by a conniving, self-serving, loud mouthed, lying, cheating, arsehole of a nobody who used men's lives and livelihoods to fight HIS personal political battle. He didn't give a shite who was hurt in his battle to bring down the government and Maggie in particular. :puke:

Amazing how everyone chose to ignore at the time and still can't see it now - the mines were brought to their knees by outdated working practices and competition from overseas, only kept going by government support - literally pouring money into many dark holes.

The miners were shafted by their leadership.

'Be careful what you wish for' might have been advice well given from the 1950s on.
