Pickedup the keys, left the house and went to open the car.
Bugger, got the caravan keys, not the car keys!
No house key on the caravan keys!
07:45am - Ring mum, she only lives half an hour away. Rang mum, just got up says she'll fling some clothes on and come over.
Fine, I'll wait in the caravan, got the keys. Caravan against the fence, door side, so I decide to pull it out. Damn, not heavy enough to get the thing moving again once I got the jockey wheel to the drain cover.
Ah well, at least it's not raining.
08:00am round the back, water all the plants in the greenhouse, pick the dead leaves off the spider plant, try to find the hole for the rotary washing line under all the leaves on the grass. Hmmmm, grass could do with another cut before winter.
08:15am round the front, take the lids off the two recycling boxes and use them to collect and bin the leaves on the block paving.
08:45am mobile rings. Mum. She's stuck in traffic.
Pick out the weeds in between the block on the block paving, clean hands off on next door's grass.
09:05am Mum arrives cursing, she's just flung on a track suit with nothing on under it, chucked the dog in the car and ended up stuck in traffic for over half an hour. To top it all she has go be back home, feed the dog, have breakfast, have a shower, dress and be at a funeral by 11:00am.
Get in the car to lead her through the housing estates and avoid the jams, then realise (luckily) my handbag and lunch are still down by the front door!
Drove to work, arrived 75 minutes late.
Then realised that our lodger (who also has a key) only works about 5 minutes away from home!
Note to self, get another key cut and hide it somewhere outside the house!
