Just a thought but drop Jaws a line, just remembered an old member was selling his bird last time i spoke to him (Nutter) but havent heard from him for a while, i expect jaws will know how to contact him or may know if he still has it.

Or give Bandit bikes a ring, they are rebuilding one that had bodywork damage and needed new clocks and i think forks, it is not recorded on HPI, think it's a 2000 model, might be going cheap??? Have you tried a search on Bike Trader ????:dunno:

Just had a quick look and there are half a dozen in your price range with some sensible mods and all around 1997/98 models.

Do a national search using your postcode and see what it throws up ???

Just looked at the one on ebay, 3400 sounds like a fair price but then it is red!!!! do make sure you view it before you bid, sorry if that seems a bit obvious but i seem to remember posts about seriously damaged Birds appearing on e-bay as a genuine legitimate good condition bike. Recommend you view, HPI check and test ride first!!!!
I know Richard from years ago but havent seen the bike myself, knowing him it will be in good condition.
Have only seen Bandit's bike with no panels on, all looked straight, Stuart is a decent bloke and will tell you honestly what the bike needs/needed. I think he has everything to repair it (some bits supplied by our very own 1200pete i believe)

seen the ones on the b.i.r.d.'s 4 sale section,all but 2 out of my price range.....didn't fancy the 1 with the chequered paint job...can't quite remember the other 1,but i did e-mail the guy and got a reply.keeping my options open at the mo.

ed,apparently if the bike(or whatever)you bid on is not "as described"you are fully within your rights to walk away,although an h.p.i.check and test ride is a must...it's a bit awkward to travel the 300 or so miles to view b4 making a bid.
richard seems a genuine guy,i will speak 2 him on monday and take things from there.

well mucker you can start with me paint me house,fit worktops,polish blu(twice)and cut the grass.
