My Mrs. won't go pillion on any bike without a top box. We've also fitted custom seats on most of my bikes, she's happy as a very happy person. 500 mile days no problem on the 'bird. @tu*

Yea, then when you've gone and bought the 'Wing and she says she aint bovvered cos it's a bit sedate...that's when you fekk off and start running ya life like ya want...or end up in jail for murder.

Stick to ya guns...it's a passing fad ....buy her a spinning wheel or embroidery set or summink...

My daughter says the wing is more comfotable but the bird is more fun and a much smoother engine with less clunky gearbox. She is only 13 and 5 ft but she still says her legs are cramped a bit in on the bird compared to the wing and she won;t go on without the topbox on with the backrest fitted.

I was thinking, would lower pillion pegs help yer missus???

My missus didn't like being on the back much so she passed her test and bought a 1200 Bandit lol.

I've done things the other way round - had a Goldwing (GL1800) and found it gorgeously comfy (Automatic Missus Approval) and it handled extremely well. easy to move around at slow speed also - especially with the reverse gear.

Real problem was overtakes - just not enough power for my liking - hence the Bird.

Guess its impossible to have it all... but on the other hand I wonder if anyone has tried bolting a supercharger to a Wing... now that's an idea...
