Bloody excellent !
When I stopped racing ( some ooohh 15 years ago now I guess ) Shu'ee were only doing some parts ( like the LSD, high speed servo, speed controls etc ) and their 1/12 kits.. ( least thats all we ever saw around here )
At that time Associated was the best rear wheel drive 1/12 and the Mustang with autobox and traction control the 1/10..
I used to build all my own 1/10 from scratch, but could not resist that mustang
It was just a chassis kit and even back them cost almost 200 sovs. Woman went feckin APE when she found out !
Must have been one of the first all carbon fibre rolling chassis around. Oh, and the drive shafts were glass filled C/F ..
I used to run Ainsworth motors at 45 quid a pop, replacing them after every two meetings ( gave cast offs to son ).. Sounds extravagent but was sponsored for them so it cost me not a penny
I only flogged the commutator lathe and balance jig about 3 years ago..
Oh and before the Mustang I ran all Tamiya Boomerangs suitably sorted and modified
