:shooter: I have just picked up a gorgeous 2000 'bird, She looks fantastic in blue, a real minter! My previous bike was a KTM 640 Adventure.I had a few probs with the enduro, which pissed me off because I used all my savings from a 7 month tour of Iraq to buy it.:violin: Imagine my suprise and relief when I climbed "down" from the KTM, and onto the "Millenium Falcon". The A35 From Dorset never felt so good!! Any advice on starting life with my Bird?:bandit:

Fit a Scott oiler, my Bird has done 24,000 on the orginal chain and has loads of adjustment left. A fender extender and a rear hugger help keep the crap off the bike.

I'm sure the rest of the guys and gals will give you loads of good advice.

no advice needed as you are already riding the fastest colour apart from slow down every now and again to let the rest catch up or they wont come out to play anymore

Welcome sparky ... :yo:

To start with I'd go for the fender extenda for the front to protect from crap being chucked up at the engine area.

Hugger does the same for the rear.

Apart from that it depends on what you use it for (touring etc) and what "pulls yer chain".....

One word of warning .... if someone is looking at it with a welsh accent and starts drooling .... run......

That's true. With all this salt on the road, by the time you get to Matlock tomorrow it'll just be a fizzing pile of filings in the corner of the carpark.

Read the latest Ride test ride on the BIRD V BUSA V KWAK V BEEMER. Guess what came out top? Not the Hairy Bruiser.

Must have been a quiet bike meet all on your own. Did you talk to yourself in the car park while sipping a diet coke?

Unless the 'busa isn't as quick as everybody makes out and the rest of the group had been and gone...........
