We have suddenly got loads of quite large black and white birds in the garden.. About pigeon size.
I reckon the are magpies, but someone else says no, as the tails are too long.
Can anyone suggest anything else they might be ?

Ladies gentemen, as always you have come through..
Once the answer was pointed out it was obvious !
I have sent an email to the japanese whaling fleet and with luck the killer whales should soon be gone ........ or else the Magpies ( Genus: Longess taileous )
will at least have an interesting time dodging harpoons !

Cod basher!

g0551p Whilst at JAWS place, with Ron and Ed, we were all in the back garden, JAWS was kindly putting the bearings back in my wheels, it was a touch windy!

There was a loud crunching noise from the roof and the next door neighbour's chimney, (to which JAWS 30ft radio mast was anchored!) came crashing down! Part of the brickwork and concrete landed in JAWS garden, luckily missing his new extention and US!

Next thing you know JAWS has got us up a ladder, with assorted tools, him on the roof, trying to secure a very bendy, radio mast!

All ended well!......... R#?

While at work today I spotted a crow mainly black but with white/gray markings, a work mate (a certified anorak, i mean twitcher) said it is a Hooded Crow, more common in Wales, dose this sound the same as your birds?.
I also spotted a unusual Blackbird last night, silver & black, next to a quicksilver coloured one :yo:
