Interesting Bird facts..

good looking AND modest
For over a year the seat sub frames were made slightly out of true.
Within tolerance but enough to see the whole seat and subsequently the exhaust is slightly biased to the right
And knowing this has enabled "some" to reduce the asking price at a few dealers that haven't a clue when you point out that one can is higher than the other, " bent subframe mate" but I'm willing to take it as-is for cheaper!!:D:rolleyes:

There are a few bikes out there with what can only be described as pissed sub frames from new, I found this out when running an alignment jig but wasn't really surprised, what did shock me was the tolerances for wheel alignment on some bikes, the term a country mile out springs to mind

Put it another way I aim for & usually get a wheel misalignment of 1mm or less when I build a frame one particular manufacturer has a stock tolerance of 6mm across a range of their bikes

I am not saying as it could leave me open to a court case but its not Honda & its not Suzuki ;) the company involved has an acceptable wheel misalignment tolerance of 6mm on a range of bikes as stated but its 10mm on quite a few older models, to my mind that's like having one wheel at home & another in the next county  I am not saying it makes the bikes handle badly because it doesn't but its poor practice!
