Bird Bash-ed

Thanx to the Midland Massif for taking me under their wing during my first bash, even though I am a southerner! No doubt a bash forum will be up soon but just to let you know I got back to HMS Dryad in Portsmouth via Winchester A+E. Stitches in knee, fractured collar bone and assorted lacerations but lots of nice nurses! Sadly Kevs bird is now a little poorly, full assesment of damage to come but at least i have some time off work! Looking forward to the video etc in due course. Cheers all.

Wot appened

Following 2 cars on A32, main road, think 1st car tried to do a late brake rt turn, car in front of me braked reeaallly hard and just after I saw the lights and put the anchors on the back wheel slid from under to the left. Bird ended up against car, not had chance to totally assess damage yet but hoping luggage and mushrooms took the brunt. Went to Winchester A+E (lots of nice nurses) various abrasions mainly coz I didnt have leather trousers on,(ok moog you got me on that one!) stitches in rt knee and slight collarbone fracture. So, could have been a lot worse. Problem now - do I get AA to recover to my place or can Taffy work some magic if I can get bike to him. Have e-mailed him to find out. Otherwise, the bash was great, fascinating floor show on saturday night - I think I was part of it! Thanx for the organisin an stuff. Have a week or so off work to recuperate then some office work b4 going back to sea mid July. Sorry to hear about your off mate. Glad you have suffered only minor damage. Let me know what sort of damage there is to the bird. Haven't got an e mail through yet (although haven't checked pms). Either way, I will get back to you and see what we can sort.

Yeah, I think its just a Massif nut allergy, ho ho!! It was a painful way to get time off work but I have 10 days off now. Just organising to get the bike to Taffys place to assess damage. Cheers y'all hope to CU again soon, keep in touch

bollocks, just read this thread now... it looks like all considered you got a bit lucky to not sustain more damage - that's the way I'd rather see it anyway, looking at the bright side of things is better for your karma - great to avoid ulcers too! Get better soon! :beer:
