Cancelled my subscription to Ride recently because they wanted to increase my subscription and am looking for a good magazine that covers touring, riding / bike alteration tips, doesnt have photos of numpties pulling wheelies, doing stoppies and general being a tw*t.

So my question is "What Bike Mag do you read and why?"

:dunno:

Well, I like Motor cycle voyager, mainly for the reasons you stated.

Likewise, and also for the fact that I write for it! :h

As a succesful entrepreneur  I'm always looking for new product lines in jazz, sorry bike mags. A years free subcription would no doubt ensure that your mag manages to secure lucrative distribution rights in New Zealand. Honest :-: :t

I subscribe to

BIKE. Dan walsh's writing is fantastic
the mag has got better in the last 2 years regarding real world motorcycling and touring
MSL. excellent range of subjects including "other" motorcycles and touring
MV. excellent for the armchair tourer, whets the appetite and reinforces why I bought the Bird.

Two up sports touring

Peter Henshaw the editor is always on the lookout for new ideas and material, and many of the features are written by enthusiasts who have an interesting tale to tell.

They will consider it more if it is accompanied by good quality slide or digital photographs.

If you contact Peter at editor@motorcyclevoyager.com he will get back to you, although he is out a lot and doesn't get the chance to check his mail everyday. Likewise ask him for a free back issue and i am sure he will be happy to oblige!

Contact Laurence Turner at MV, and I am sure he will be interested in talking to you. The guys at MV work very closely with a couple of touring outfits in New Zealand, so I don't know what arrangements they currently have out there!
