There should also be car awareness for learner riders, coming off our Estate this morning, clocked a scooter with L plate on front mudguard, I had plenty of time so I pulled out, next thing I heard a faint buzzing, looked in the mirror & noticed he was flashing his headlight even though he was still several car lengths behind me, he obviously thought I’d not seen him.

Maybe his front tyre was flat and he was bouncing, not flashing.

Prol a nob snowflake and you was invading his personal space ( i.e. the road .. any road within a ten mile radius )

good looking AND modest
I've seen Derek's driving, he will have left PLENTY of room between him pulling out and the scooter rider, about a fag papers thickness. :)

I am the first to,admit that riding a motorised cycle made me a better car driver.

Equally I would suggest that motorised cycle riders who do not drive a car should receive training about the issues car drivers face, not least situational awareness (or lack of) when a motorised cycle is coming in their direction. And what it is like for a driver turning right out of a side street through traffic.

That’s what I said but not in such a long winded way.
