‘Intelligent’ speed limiters aren’t foolproof - my motor picks up temporary speed limits on (for instance) smart motorways….last year I was in the inside lane getting ready to leave the M23 when the car suddenly accelerated hard as the ‘temporary speed limit’ was 110mph (it might have been 120mph). Never did hear back from the highways people on that….
