My Toyota also recognises speed signs & keeps me updated with the speed limit, it also has a speed restrictor that I never use, who needs over priced German crap?My Merc masterpiece ’sees’ speed limit signs, including temporary ones, and flashes on the display. It also has a speed limiter fitted. Now if they could only make it drive according to the limits it sees I’d be very happy.
when I pop across to Europe in a week I wonder how the speed limit recognition will function? Will it eg show 19mph in a 30kph limit? Soon see .
Now, fixed that for you!!The new Dacia Duster apparently sends a laser beam that cuts through branches that obstruct speed signs and burns the sign into minute metal particled.
Interesting, my 2016 E class has the ‘recognise the speed limit’ thing and there is a setting to make it alter the active cruise control to that speed. Trouble is, it sometimes thinks it sees a speed limit sign that isn’t there, hence I don’t use that function. My Merc masterpiece ’sees’ speed limit signs, including temporary ones, and flashes on the display. What a fuckin muppet of the first orderGraham Conway, managing director at Select Car Leasing, said speed limiters may need to be retrofitted to cars which don't already have them.
Ah, but you are a ‘classic’ - an E Type Jag personified.I take that personally, not sure I like being called "old technology"
Perhaps, but the memory will be stashed away in the grey matter and retrieved some day in retribution.Looks like I got away with it……
Yep.... wimmin have the capacity to store vast amounts of data and and retrieve it at speeds that would make the average Cray computer weep with jealously.Perhaps, but the memory will be stashed away in the grey matter and retrieved some day in retribution.
