Total agreement

jan & I went over with some of the others from Kiddy chapter.

It was a totally useless show. Even worse than the first one some 3 years ago, after which I said I would never organise another ride to. Last years was a lot better, so we thought, maybe it will get better again..

Boy was I wrong... No more than 25 stands, no helmet park, sorry to say, I have been to better church car boot sales....

I will be emailing the organisers to express my displeasure at their organisational skills, and also the total lack of value for money. I will let you know what excuses they reply with.

Well, I hope the rest of the folks who went had a good ride out after, coz when Jan, Gaz & I got back to the bikes after walking round the show (20mins), they had all gone...So, Jan & I said goodbye to Gary, and went for a little jolly round Worcester & Malvern area to pass the time before returning home for a beer or three.

Best wishes,

Rolfy & Jan

it took you that long to get around rolfy :dunno: you must have spoken to every-one else that turned up g0551p
i await with baited breath for their excuses, which should be very interesting  after speaking to orms, apparently the BMF have shown an
interest in running next years show and call it "the great western" or something :dunno: personally, don't think i'll bother again.
at least the weather put in an apearance making for good riding :yo:

cheers

Just got the reply from the Malvern Show organisers

Here is the reply as sent to me from the organisers...

"Thank you for your input - constuctive and helpful.

We have no excuses to offer or 'Smart Alec' replies.

Except that the helmet park is always a difficulty - Next year we will have a
charity run it so that they can earn the money.

Peterborough next weekend knocked us about but SUnday arrivals were good.

What stalls would your like to see. Didn't you enjoy the World Champion on
Saturday and or the great fellow assisted us on Sunday as the booked party cried off on Friday pm - nightmare!

We would appreciate you constructive input ASAP.

Incidentally we did advertise the price at ?5 perhaps dismounting could have
been avoided.

Regrads, Ian Green"

Wonder who the world champion was on Saturday ???

And who were the "arrivals" on Saturday, if the stands on Sunday were that crap..???

But did he expect us to go on both days at ?5 a head if we had gone on Saturday ????? Especially when we saw what was there... c7u8

I will email him back with a few suggestions if anyone wants to offer constuctive ones and not just to tell him to get fooked.

Best wishes,

Rolfy

sunday arrivals were good...i'd hate to think what crap arrivals would be like
why are helmet parks always a difficulty...never seem to be a problem anywhere else :dunno:
what stalls would WE like to see, well doesn't he know, after all he is organising a feckin bike show....maybe it's a bit to obvious,or is it me :h
also sounds as if he's blaming the B.M.F.for the poor turn out, although having two shows on consecutive w/ends might not have helped..but surely they plan these things to maximise the turnout
and as for "?5 perhaps dismounting could have been avoided" statement, what is that supposed to mean????please tell!!

and as for suggestions, let someone with half a brain organise it,fookwit.

I put a comment in the email I sent him as to the fact that they charge you before you get into the showground & park up, which can be a pain if you have two of you on the bike, and your wallet or 'er indoors purse or handbag is in the topbox/rack. And when you have 6 or 8 bikes doing the same( like our crew) it causes a problem at the gate by holding others up. We did email him about this last year, and he still hasnt taken it on board...

Also the "What would you like to see?" is a fair question I thought... The more input he has off the punters, the more the show will be as "WE" want it...

But as I dont think I will go again, it doesnt bother me in the least :dunno:

As you say, Helmet parks are no problem at any other show. All they have to do is ask for one of the charityies to run it, and there they go... No fuss, no probs for them, and the charity get loads of dosh in... What more could they ask ???

Maybe see you on the road one day Stan,

Take care,

Rolfy
