If you travel donw the M50 and that section of road into Monmouth.

While down there the other week I saw a silver coloured bird which had been pulled by an unmarked cop car.

It was a dark blue/grey coloured Vauxhall Verctra SRI

Looks like any other car with the exception of a couple of extra aerials on and you wont know its a cop car untill all the blues under the grill start flashing.

Tip, if you are passing cars, FFS take a look inside them, the cops sit in uniform and you can usually see some unusal equipment on the dash, a monitor being one of them on which they watch and record you speeding. Pls they dont have to be two up, a cop on his can do you!!. So take you time passing them, have a good long hard look and make sure you dont mistake a couple of SAS Officers from Hereford for being cops.

SAS blokes usually wear short sleve white shirts and often have tattoes on arms, somthing thats banned for cops.

You have been warned.

Gulp~~~

Learned this lesson tha hard way a few years ago

Just collected a new CBR1000F from Mike Lomas's dealership

15 miles to ride home that was all

Got half way home - came across a white Cosworth Sierra [thats how long ago] - trick bits as well - dashboard full of them!!

Pulled alongside on a dual carraige way - he baited me - I baited him

I shot off like a scalded Cobra!!

He followed

1 mile later on came the blue lights

68 in a 40 limit - and that was being lenient

Asked me if I wanted to watch Highlights on video in the back of the car

Wasn't impressed when I asked "What the hell would I want to watch previous hair-do's for?"

Now I check when passing all cars - often the sportier ones are driven by biffa's so it's all worthwhile!!

Additional aerials are a dead give away as Buzz says. I've always noticed that the undercover law cars tend to never display dealer stickers in the rear window. They have an extra rear view mirror on the passenger side, and are always very clean.

Sometimes it is no good looking inside the vehicles before you decide to open up your bike. If they have rear facing cameras they have probably already caught you speeding before you have even realised who they are.

Nah, that doesn't work. They can't use a radar/laser camera in a moving vehicle and to get an accurate speed reading they have to follow you over a minimum distance (is it at least half a mile?? :dunno: ) and time you between two fixed points (not shadows). But as the Vascar is only a back-up of their word, two cops in a car is all it takes to get you done :xm

Cruser........

The fuzz can track your speed in a number of ways: :bandit:

1. Head on - that's a given fact if they have forward-facing doppler radar etc..

2. Rear facing - see above explanation but with rear-facing doppler radar etc...

3. Head on (fuzz driving towards you while you drive towards them) - The doppler radar is connected to their cage's speedo. The on-board computer simply deducts their speed from your approach speed. You get done if you're above the limit.

4. Rear facing (fuzz driving in the same direction as you) - see explanation 3.

So long as they can accurately track you for 5 seconds in any of the above scenario's - you'll get done if you're above the legal limit.

Isn't technology a fucker at times?? %$fan
