Just half watching F1 qualifying….Spa is the best track in the world for me….I have been round it as a passenger and was amazed at the altitude changes and variety of both high and slow speed sections.

Nurburgring would be right up there if it was still being used other than mainly for jollies.

also like Bathurst and Laguna Seca.

Brands Hatch holds many memories for me, both good and bad.
Magny cours is my favourite international circuit.

Spa is phenomenal, and it was one of those circuits back in the day when you could access it from La Comb which used to be where the public road was coned off from the race circuit by a couple of traffic cones. Been to many bike GP's in the past and ridden a few laps and loved it every time.

The original Hockenheim was also stunning. 2 massive long straights joined by a couple of wiggly bits at both ends. First time I ever got the Bird flat chat was on the inbound straight approaching the stadium, and then the 2nd time was a few days later at The Nurburgring on the original circuit.

Brands GP circuit is pretty cool, did a bit of proddy bike racing back in the day and always loved riding there, (I knew the beat copper for Brands and when I took a group down there he would throw me the keys and ask me to lock up when we finished ;) )and the original Silverstone was a great circuit.

Done a few laps of Imola and Monza, but still can't compare with Spa or Hockenheim.

I will have to did out a few pictures and go down memory lane. Probably a few good circuits I have completely forgotten about.....

Oulton Park and Donington Park for me.

Mainly because I've ridden them.

I’ve ridden Spa, nice but it’s often foggy or raining

I‘ve been around the Norris-ring in Nuremberg when the cops weren’t watching - highly illegal.

Donington Park, went round it while the GP was running, the last time Kevin Schwartz rode there. Not actually at the same time, during the intermission between races.

I‘m grateful we weren’t allowed around the Nurburgring when we turned up as it was closed so 4 wheelers could have a playday. I don’t I’d have lasted all the way around.

RAF Woodbridge (not really a circuit) when I set a record standing start mile for NA road bike of 213.3mph - it lasted less than a week

I remember being at LeMans a few days after the 24hr car race and we went down the Mistral straight that they go down at 200 and stupid mph, and at the end they do a 90° right and the corner was almost solid rubber.

which reminds me, another time we were in LeMans, passing through, and stayed overnight in a hotel in which were the Panoz race team, owned by Noel Edmunds. They were saying how pleased they were with the horsepower of their pushrod v8. I took them down to the garage and proudly showed them, Honda Blackbird 1100cc and 155bhp (OK I exaggerated a bit ;)) They were a bit taken aback with just a road bike:cool:

Finally I can’t miss out Santa Pod. A magnificent place to go to. Especially winning Ultimate Streetbike 2008 AD72D59D-1A6B-4FFC-BD87-2B9BFA3417B1.jpeg

I used to live four miles, from Brands and unfortunately only got onto the Indy circuit in my various visits. Paddock Hill bend must be one of the hardest track corners anywhere in the world, mad entry speed (obviously not for me),off camber and blind until you are well into it…not for the faint hearted!
