Jeremy Corbyn, again. Obviously.

I'm a sucker for peanuts. Especially the extra large salted variety.
I take great pleasure in rummaging through a bag and picking out the ones which still have two halves stuck together. Drives the wife nuts (sorry :D).

Nuts are defined as a simple, dry fruit with one seed (very occasionally two) in which the seed case wall becomes very hard at maturity. True nuts include pecan, sweet chestnut, beech, acorns, hazel, hornbeam and alder. Peanuts, almonds, pistachios, cashews, horse chestnuts and pine nuts are not nuts. So the health warning on a packet of peanuts (“may contain nuts”) is, strictly speaking, untrue.

Peanuts are technically legumes.

Aside from that, Macadamia nuts allegedly have the most health benefits. My favourites are almonds and brazil nuts. Pistachio nuts have the highest carbohydrate content off any 'nut', so not good for those on Atkins type diets. Most nuts are extremely calorifically dense, so be careful not to eat too many.
