We live out in the sticks, but our post service has always been brilliant, our Postie leaving stuff in a safe place when necessary etc.
For the last two weeks or so we haven't had any mail and we have both been expecting deliveries, we have even phoned up senders and moaned "why haven't you posted the whatever to us".
I phoned the post office customer service yesterday and told them we have not had mail, the guy took all our details and said we will get back to you soon. A few hours later a grey box appeared on the doorstep with loads of out mail, great but why has it been delayed?
Our lovely Postie knocks on the door this morning with mail and she apologises but they had been told not to deliver for 14 days as my wife tested positive for covid 19!
I asked how they knew and she says your wife told the relief postie, yep she told him she was getting over it and by the NHS standards was now non contagious but the fuckwit forgot to mention that bit to their bosses so we were black listed unnecessarily and without any way of knowing we were black listed.
I've written a detailed snotagram to the customer service department, awaiting their reply.
