Well, all the trophys bar one are bought and on the shelf, the entertainment is booked, Mo and Aly have agreed to step in and do the buffet on the Friday night again..grub wagon is booked up, I have a possible band standing by to do the Sunday night if needed, a pile of silly lazer guns have been bought and battery's up ready....

Sadly we have only got 6 people booked in !!

Please folks, if you intend attending ( !!! ) you need to book up.
I have until one week into March to cancel the Saturday night entertainment if it aint gonna happen.... I will have to pay the rugby club no matter what now..

All I am asking for is for you to say, on here, you are gonna book..
That way if it has to be called off at least I can limit the loses to a few hundred beer tokens...

FIRST AID TRAINING/RIDE OUT ROUTE

Count me and SWMBO in... Ta

A 3 hour First Aid couse at the May BASH, on the Sunday from about 10/10.30am (to be confirmed). I assume this is before the ped racing, so it should allow some real First Aid practice.

The course will be certificated by St.Johns Ambulance which will include some biker specific accident training like helmet removal or not as the case may be, it will also cover resusitation, burns, broken limbs, etc, etc.

The cost of the course will be ?3.00 per person - purely to cover administration for St.Johns/certificate/registering, the trainer(s) will be doing it for free (Normally the cost is about ?30 per person). On completion of the course the participant will be registered for 3 years, so that isn't bad at a quid a year. I do need to confirm - but legally and to stop you from potentially being sued by a patient St Johns do an insurance cover to cover any litigation that may arise if you happen to help an ungrateful patient. (There may be a minimal charge per annum for this insurance cover).

The course needs to be booked into St.Johns Ambulance prior to the event to make it official (just a St.Johns thing I believe). 10 days before hand.

The qualified trainer (my wife Gina) will be able to handle 12 to 18 people, so its first come first served. Should we get an abundance of takers then it may be possible to arrange for another trainer.

It may be possible for already trained aiders to use this as a refresher course (have to confirm that one).

Ok then, if you are interested please leave your Bird User Name and normal christian/surname below. Please also notify us if you cannot attend 14 days before the event.

RIDE OUT ROUTE

Here it is, as approved by John, and tested by Mtk, Bunny and myself....

There are lots of twisty sections along the route with all types of corners covered including negative cambers. The easier sections will give just enough time in between to get your breath back... I guarantee you'll sleep well after this, even without the effects of the saturday night entertainment.

Dont worry John there'll be a flood of them soon, they're just waiting for the first one to commit to coming to Bog land, then they'll have the courage.

Well what else can we do with bbq horse then ?

Actually.. being serious for a nano second, I have a good mate who hals from somewhere 'over there' and he genuinely does have a couple of amazing horse flesh recipes ! I thought he was joking to start with but nope,, and I gotta say he does do a triffic job of cooking the stuff..

So maybe there is a purpose to the 4 legged fleabags afteral !They could feed a good part of Africa with the runners at Kempton in one day !

Hoss taste's ok to me, but then so does ostrich, roo, gator.... all food to me. I do like a hog roast though, that really gets the juices going. (food juices pervert).

John, that route... We can bypass the town begining with H, by going round the bypass (short one) and coming in from the opposite end.

Let me know if it needs tweeking or a different route altogether.
