Dare I, a mere turncoat suggest we make Duxford the Sunday run? I remember last year, not many went in the end. Mind you, weather was pretty shite

Trust me, if you've got luggage you will care. I can remember poor old Alan with his volvo, sorry Blackbird with full luggage in the winds last year. Poor sod, was as much as he could do to get above sixty!

I would love a run to Duxford. Hopefully we could make the run during the Bash instead of after so that I have someone to follow back to Thetford.:dunno:

I can't tell the difference in North, South, East or West in the English countryside, let alone getting out of one of those Merry-go-rounds, I mean Round-a-bouts8l1nd

There is no Sunday ride out chaps.. its on Monday ( remember this is the Bank Holiday weekend ) and yes, we will be doing the Duxford thing...
Sunday is the ped racing and other silly games

We already have a rideout leader as such but We will be needing some outriders We will also be looking for at leat one ( maybe two peeps to help on the Sunday silly games malarky...

Ok, basics are this:
Friday night is meal night as per usual.
Kick off from the main site is at 10:30 to 11.00 on Saturday for the first rideout.
The route is planned but will not be published until much closer to the date..
It will involve a first section of about 60 miles to a seaside resort. There we will stop for a while for a tea and a bun..but be warned ! The idea of this stop is simply to allow those running low on gas to refill, so we will not be stopping for very long !!
Then it is another 60 mile leg to another seaside resort...
Mid afternoon we will be leaving there for the 60 mile ride back to base.

Saturday evening is party time with all the usual goings on

Sunday at about 11 we will be kicking off with various silly games inc the dread twichers special !!
Sunday evening is more of a laid back afair with background music and general waffle..and the handing out of any trophies one at the games .. Plus a buzzer quiz ! Noooo.. not to see how much you know about buzzers, but teams will each have a buzzer and the winning team will get a bottle of champers ( or similar ! LOL !) !!

Monday at 10ish it is fotocall time and any other last minute business, then at about 10:30 to 11 it is the rideout to Duxford.. We will not be taking the rather boring dead straight route but a nice scenic one ( though if the weather is crap that will be amended to the straight route ! )
A 'meet back' time will be set for final fairwells etc.

As it is a bank holiday weekend visiting Duxford on the Sunday is a bit of a non starter ( Duxford peeps told me this themselves ) while Monday you should all stand a good chance to get a lot closer to the exhibits

By the way, I have begun the Florida Sunshine collection. Not sure I will be able to carry enough over on the plane, for four days now instead of three. We may have to put up with alittle rain on just one day anyway.

I even found some over here this morning.. As soon as the sun came up I found it lurking behind the gate.. Opened the gate and where it was dark before, suddenly there was sunshine..
Now if you pack some of that stuff it would take up hardly ANY room at all !!
