Sunday pm.. Travelling in the car from visiting family in the Midlands... Loud Bang.. rattling sound from engine.. Sounded expensive. Eventually got the car home.

Monday am.. Very slowly got car to garage ( main dealer ) they will look at it ( rubbing chin in that 'knowing' way). Wife was called out of work due to family member being taken ill. Large taxi bill.

Tuesday am.. Car has blown water pump, its worn away edge of main drive pully,cam belt,other stuff.. awaiting parts.. Work tell me I WILL work Friday ( my day off) as I'm needed at court ( No, not for pay, time off instead .. yes they can do that. :cry: ).

Wednesday.. Get public complaint from a person cos I told him off for not having seat belt on ( No I didn't 'do' him just told him off !!!) he didn't like my attitude third in a year so i'm being 'investigated'. BIG argument with boss.
Also got phone call re the car... fixed and only ?425 bill.

Thursday ( today).. Strange smell from gas/ water boiler.. British gas come out.. boiler is leaking, dangerous, CONDEMNED :bang:

No hot water ( no immersion heater in the tank!), no heating ( at least it's not winter). quote for minimum ?900 for new one and fitting.... ( but the good news is I may get it cheaper if I shop around)

Wonder what else is going to happen Friday ?????

As for someone complaining about being "warned" for not wearing a seat belt - how daft are they?. If I ever get stopped/warned I'd be breathing a gratefull sigh of relief that I wasn't being done. Not mouthing off even if I didn't like a ticking off.

'Fraid these days (I think I'm getting old) some folks have learned how to use the nicey,feely, lets not upset anyone attitude as a tool to get back....

Do hope you're luck improves. Isn't there some rule about deviation from the norm returning to the mean........

What I didn't mention in the first post was that we had just paid the deposit for 'San's' new kitchen, so we were committed to the fitting / cost. No spare cash at all...

I will work backwards on this one ......

They were supposed to turn up this morning to rip out , plaster, re site electrics,
I have got the big industrial de-humidifier to dry out the new plaster over the weekend and have the new fit Monday.... spent last night emptying the kitchen. 23;00 til 01:00 this morning.. ...

...Keep going it gets better.......

Today..
10:00... phoned them, " where the Bl$^%&%$y hell are you ?
Ah... We decided we can do it Monday as there is less plastering than we first thought !! we are coming Monday.. sorry we forgot to tell you.
Reply... Goodness, I am rather annoyed with your lack of communications and am rather miffed at having to empty the kitchen when not required plus the extra expense of hiring equipment when not required.. . Oh dear..

Or words to that effect !..

Now, the reason that we were emptying the kitchen so late was we were at the hospital..... Father in law was rushed in on Tuesday night with what's thought to be a heart attack...

NO keep going.. its better yet......

Whilst at the hospital.. The staff kept asking me if I was ok due to the blood running down my left arm, ( not too bad just enough to cause concern !)..

That was because... Earlier in the day I had visited the Blood transfusion centre at Lancaster to give white blood platelets. ( every 6 weeks)
After about five minutes being at 'the pump', I started to feel a small amount of discomfort... before I could say anything, I felt what can only be described as a 'pop' in my left arm... ... ... then F$%^^?%kin HELL !!! the worst pain in my arm I have ever felt ( apart from my 'piercing')...
All the staff are running around, I'm bouncing about on the couch trying to stop my arm exploding, blood pissing out all over ( I of course kept completely calm and did not swear at all ).
Nurses screaming at me to keep your arm straight, Keep still, Don't slip on the blood, deep breaths, would I like a cold fookin compress on my brow !!!!! ( Honest).

It appears that, in about 1 in every 1000 sessions the wall of the vein can tear and this causes a 'flowback' and if its at the time when the blood is being pumped back into you after seperation it can become 'exciting'...
So after being held down for a good ten minutes until my arm stopped wanting to turn itself inside out, I was strapped up, and allowed home ( to visit Father in law)... A very interesting drive home on my own, I must admit.

That's why the nurses kept asking me to stop dripping, and if I was ok at the other Hospital.

Next week......

Atom Bomb lands on Murts house. Unknow desease found in Murts food, Etc. etc......
But I must admit.... Its fun trying to work out the most onusual thing that can go wrong next.

Just laugh at it...

Don't forget.. A problem shared . . . is a chance for mega pisstake..
