We're thinking about going to the Brno GP in August this year via Germany and a bit of Poland. We read some of the threads below about the Harz mountains so we plan to go there on the way and Berlin. The thing is that we usually book accommodation ahead but we'd like a bit more flexibility this year. (Camping is out.) What's the form in Germany about just turning up and finding accommodation? Is it easy to find in August?
