Don'y know, Derek - he has been a class act. The 2 we have do not inspire a lot of confidence either. And not a lot of money in the club.

A brilliant keeper & a real Gent, he'll be missed.

Our best keeper on form and reliability since Big Nev, hopefully Tim Howard can take over from him, I hope, god do I hope !!!!

Russ - you a Bluenose?

Totally agree with the comment about Nev. A big struggle to replace him!

My first game was against Arsenal in 1965 ( I think). You forgot to mention Brian Labone. You should have seen the turn out for his funeral 2 weeks ago - bring a tear to a glass eye. You from Liverpool originally?

Born and dragged up in Wallasey, then moved to Chester when I was 16, still meet my old school mates in Wallasey once a year for a game at Goodison to get my annual fix !!
Didn't see the funeral, (no such coverage up here !) but from what I saw on the web, very moving.
The lads are up here in Aberdeen in August so will get the chance to see them play without the 900 mile round trip !!
Hopefully AJ and JL will be playing, last time we played Aberdeen in a preseason frienly was the year Konchelskis played his first game for us, won 3-0 I think !
It's a hard habit to break !!!
