Well got me Black blackbird back tonight w;;v and according to Honda there's nowt wrong, apparently some birds make more noise than others but well within spec......I had the balancer shaft check and adjusted, the cam chain tentioner changed, 8k service done, and as far as the chief mechanics are concerned my bird sounds the same as their demonstrator bird.
So what the feck am I compaining about, what noise does Rhino hear on his Bird (is it a black one m8) does any one else hear the rattle when the engine is cold.
Two of my mates have Birds (one rrrred and one bbblue) Lumpy aint got one, and no noise on their's..............well there it is then, it's obvious, only the bloody black ones rattle.
I'm gonna have mine painted pink......Bert where can I get a nice quite coloured female pinkish paint job done.
I'm begging to like the ZZ1200 in silver.......nah not really. :bandit:

Keith - trust me, the BlackBird is a far better machine in nearly every aspect than the ZZR1200. If I were you I wouldn't worry about the noise, fit some loud cans and relax in the knowledge that it's under warranty!

I cannot begin to explain the noise but it goes when its warmed up.. I know the clutch is noisy but then it's a BB innit, i've done the CCT only 4 weeks ago and oil change & filter last week on time and it sounds a little cammy if anything..

Having never really heard anyone elses BB on fire-up in the morning then its hard to say if owt is wrong, still pulls like a train and goes like hell (upto 70)!

If it continues i'll hit it with a big stick or change it for a HAYABUSA/ZX12R as i was gonna do over winter anyway.. :yo:
