Say you have got AA cover on your bike and you have an accident that requires you to have it recovered
Will they recover it ?

Depends on whether you have accident recovery, best thing to do is ring them quote your reference number and ask them,

With the RAC it depends on what kind of cover you've got.

They'll rescue you,but maybe only take you to the nearest garage.

Am with RAC, had once a brake down with my old bike in France north of Paris, they towed me all the way to London, couldn't make it on time for the last train so they paid for my hotel as well. Rather good service, I'd say.

Ah - be very carefull

The AA (and after phoning round several other services) are BREAKDOWN recovery services (plus the usual home start etc if you pay the extra)

With things like accidents, they will recover you BUT will charge for the pleasure!

This came to light last year when I bust my collarbone at the Bash. The AA (who I've been with for years) would recover the bike at a cost. Was going to work out at over ?300.

I phoned round some of the others with the same result.

I am now with Norwich Union and the Personal Accident recovery of rider/pillion and bike is written into the policy.

Oh, and another thing. Used to pay for the AA by quarterly DD. Was only half way through the year when I took out the NU policy. Tried to cancel the AA but they still wanted to last two payments - apparently its in the small print, that its a year contract :shooter:
