Anybody ridden one of these: K1200R

It's 10KG lighter than the K1200S with the motor in the same state of tune - well over 160horses could make this the most brutal muscle bike around......

The nice peeps at North Oxford BMW will let me have one for a full day on 6th August....... until then, has anybody had a spin on one?

The standard looks are debatable, but it's got potential to look pretty awesome

Hat's off

to BMW for this but on sheer looks alone I have to go with the Trumpf......yet to ride either so can't fully commit. Great to see some real lune going into bike design....

The SpeedTrip looks fantastic, have always loved them, but looking at the numbers on paper this Beemer should be leagues apart of pretty much anything else..........can't wait to give it a whirl. :-:

Yup....

what I love about both the bikes is their departure from the norm....like the TNT etc...

The Triumph holds a special candle for me as I worked with Triumph when the T509 and T595 were being developed so spent a lot of time on and around them.....great to see them churing out some pretty neat bikes.....must get a go on the new ST.

Triumph Sprint ST1050 Demo

Hiya Smoothandquick, call and see Dave (sales manager) at Triumph based at the bottom of the Chesterfield/Sheffield bypass, they're using part of the Rover car sales frontage at present, he's got the 1050 on demo and I'm sure he won't mind you taking a spin.I'll book you a date for it if you want. The bike has some nice touches and sounds great, it is a huge improvement on the old model but I feel it still has some way to go to be a viable alternative to the 'bird both in power and build quality, still a great bike though. Triumph seem to improve every year and good luck to them.

Wolfie

Is a lunp
bloke in the local club, said that it was rough and very uncomfortable, but he rides a shit heap of a eye abuser so what does he know.

No problem, I may be working for Triumph myself by then, they pay a lot more than Yamaha, the tight bastids, must get myself a proper job oneday!
