Oh, and I've still got a Wessex Rideout (Somerset / Wiltshire area approx.) planned in the back of my mind for mid June or so... I'll probably be in touch nearer the time, post TT Fortnight, to rack your brains for road ideas...
the only idea I'd have right now is 'AVOID WILTSHIRE'!!!!!!!!!! But thats just cos they are bastards with cameras and plain cars!!!! Hey ho!!!!

Chat about it proper post TT!

I'll shout you a boar burger if you come on down... After all, I've heard so much about you, I want to see if the rumours are true!

Thanks for letting me know Fairb. Another time perhaps.

Could I have confirmation of runners and riders so come the time to depart Dorchester tomorrow I know I won't have left anyone behind?

So far there'll be;

Moi
XXtremist
Dave G
Possbily Daz on his Sprint ST if HID lets him
Possibly AJ at Sherborne if his wheels let him.

Smix, Chuff - are you coming out to play as well?

Nice and intimate so far - I might be able to afford a round of coffees as well!

Anymore for anymore?

Mo worries Chuff. Another time maybe. Hope the Ace cafe brekkie was good (had wild boar myself!).

Just a quick post to say I'm back (been back for an hour or so) and I'll get round to posting some pikkies later.

Thanks to those who could make the trip so far south and west (old faces such as AJ and XXtremist, as well as a newbie - Dave G). Glad to see that I didn't lose anyone nor get lost - honest (had a very slight Tomtom detour of a few hundred yards, which ain't bad for a virgin ride out).

Catcha later with some pikkies...

Here we go with some post ride pikkies (wish there were more, but we were 'making progress' and enjoying surpisingly cage free roads for much of the day);

The usual suspects (from the left; Dave G, AJ, XXtremist);

AllThree01.jpg

"Bloody Nora Chris, mine doesn't look like that". What are AJ and XXtremist staring at?....

CorLookatThat.jpg

....the biggest knob in Britain (Cerne Giant, Cerne Abbas for the grockles);

BigKnob01.jpg

Having a Wild Boar burger at West Bay. Cannibals!

MM hope the Dorset rideout went well, looks a good route, shame I couldn't make it, putting up a ceiling in France! Wessex rideout could be good but like Smix I am not too keen on Wilts!

West Bay was warm and busy;

Nice flats if you can afford them (bloody second homes to city types more like -grrrr);

PoshFlats.jpg

"Listen XXtremist, I just let it all hang out, and the birds flock to me"...

ChewingTheFat.jpg

We didn't think AJ literally meant "birds flock to me".:D After much flapping of feathers, AJ reluctantly conceded that he wasn't her type...

AJsBird.jpg

I'm sure AJ and XXtremist will be on soon with a reposte.

Ere who's that fat bastard on the left eating the 20th Boar burger? Oooops it's me!!! anyone know the nearest weight watchers is located?

Apart from the unflattering picture of me, I had a really good time. Nice to put faces to names and get to see more of the area I live in. Cheers guys

Well I'm getting on the old treadmill before have to have the ole bird reinforced, now I know what the misses means when she says I always flatter her, she means FLATTENS

Thanks again guys

No worries Dave - great to meet a local 'cockney' down this way.

I'll try and sort out a few more ride outs soon enough, and maybe we can hook up and meet some of the northeners (those north of the M4) when they do a ride out...

By the way, there's a Southern Meet in Portsmouth on the 12th of May;

Southern Meet

I'd go but I'll be in Monza watching WSBK :yo: but it'd be a good opportunity if you wanted to go and meet some of BIRD's southern contingent...

Re the treadmill - anytime you fancy going for a run...
