If the guy's as decent a bloke as it seems then he'll probably pass on the surplus to a service charity.

The aforementioned Yobbos will all be career dole scroungers, so any payment scheme that you sign them up to will ultimately mean us tax payers paying for.I’d like to start a gofundme page for a new enterprise called vigilantes-r-us. This enterprise will employ people who can call on the ‘yobboes’ such as described in the news headlines. They will then educate these people so they don't feel a need to set fire to someone’s house and belongings. They will structure payment schemes where the ‘yobboes’ described will be able to willingly pay back all monies lost. Then they will ensure the ‘yobboes’ will no longer be a concern to the neighbourhoods they terrorise by rehoming them somewhere deep and damp, perhaps with the added benefit of being well hidden so they don’t feel a need to harm anybody else. Will it work?
