I seem to be collecting a lot of punctures lately. i get a new set of tyres and instantly all the sharpe objects make a beline for the tyres usually after about 300 miles. So get it pluged then afew thousand miles later another one last sunday! to be exact shitting my self in the process.
Any one else have this problem or is it just me :bang:

Cheers to Dirty for picking me up in the volva :-: 8l1nd

you're not alone Dave when I had the hornet I managed to get through three new tyres in as many months... I'm sure it where they don't sweep the middle of the road. or that's where the sweepers sweep all ths shite...

Or it may just be that Hornets attract the bloody nails and screws from the road... :dunno:

Gentlemen.. this is one more reason to go with the Avon option.. get a puncture within a 1mm of tread wear and its replaced foc.. And yes, it really does work !

Ultraseal

I know Ultraseal is a dirty word for some on hear, but i have used it for five years and wont be without it, On the bird i have had it up to 165mph and have never had a problem with wobbles or weaves and like the man said it dose what it says on the tin. what i have observed is if you put to much in you may have a problem with imbalance :yo:

MAN on the PAN
alas ulraseal have just paid to have their new stuff washed out of my tyres !
i suffered severe front wheel wobble when making progress
Tyre guys tried to ballance the wheel with the stuff in but every test gave a different reading. When they took the tyre off the liquid had turned jelly-like and wasnt spreading around like it should?
Had the stuff in earlier bikes with no probs but they were not as fast as the Bird

Here's a few, they stick like shit to a blanket, they have 6.5mm of tread so last longer than most other tyres without compromising compound or grip, they have a fairly high silica content making them excellent in the wet, they have a larger contact patch than most other tyres and, as Jaws said you get a free one if you get a puncture within the first 1mm of tread (which works out to about 1000 miles for the average rider)

Done nearly 5,000 miles now and still not worn down 1mm yet - bloody good warranty.
I hear you will soon be doing roadside replacements for poor peeps who puncture their new Avons anywhere in the south of England - can't wait

Why yes I do  But I also sell most other makes of tyre too:-:. You are right Dave, if you are happy on a particular tyre and it gives you confidence and helps your riding then use it. But having personally tested most makes of tyre (HARD) the one I found best suited to the Bird was the Avon ST's.

PS
I would not use Rensports on a Bird any more than I would use Avon ST's on an R1 %$fan
