As some of you know we had an Africa Twin - purchased brand spankin new on a 51 plate, think it was ?5,665 or something like that, no p/ex, grey import from DK at Stoke.
9 months later we p/ex'd it for a brand spankin new 02 Trophy, think we got ?3,500 for it.
So are Africa's holding their price better these days????
Have to say that the jump up from a ? is it a 750 engine in the Africa? to the 1200 of the Bird, the comfort, the fairings the sheer style of the thing - is a bit of a quantum leap!!!
And of course, as we can defo state categorically! - it's just ever so slightly more expensive when you drop the Bird than when you drop the Africa - no sump guard to save yer bacon - a bit of wet'n'dry an' some elbow-grease and no-one was any the wiser with the Africa! LOL Much better All Terrain bike than the Birdie, though!!!
Pete bought it so he could have a bit of fun on his own, if I didn't find I liked bikes. We loved that bike - but my arse didn't LOL
