Coming home from the barn.
Rivvy road, the 1st bend just after the Black bull pub. Sharp lefthander, I'm coming the other way into Belmont road. Loads of traffic parked up, helicopter sat in the adjoining field, Police, ambulances... Oh fuck!
Discreetly pulled up about 30 metres away & spoke briefly to two other bikers. Apparently a head on between two motorcyclists, both over the white line, although that could be pure speculation. Turned around & went the long way home, but a very sobering thought all the way back.

Few years back Emma’s friend’s husband was with a group of bikers in Switzerland, Mick was second in line, they approached a bend & faced a biker coming towards them on the wrong side of the road, took out & killed the first rider, smashed into Mick & left him with life changing injuries, I used to talk bikes with Mick but since the accident he has no recollection of having a bike, he received a very large payout but his quality of life is poor, he has gone from being a really nice guy & brilliant family man to prone to violent outbursts, his wife Cara is now contemplating divorce.
