Undoubtedly the greatest pop band ever, but should they get back together
personally I don't think they should, I do not think they would be able to emulate their success of the seventies, and we should just remember them as they were... perfect

It was tried a while ago, but Agnetha has refused, she lives the life of being almost a recluse now, she did try to kick start her career but lost the nerve, much to the disgust of the record label that was doing her album.
There was a program on the box about this a short while ago, with Bjorn and Benny and the making of Mamma Mia the musical.

Good group though, records are still being played today, I always did fancy the blonde one (Female I might add)

are ABBA like the Blackbird = past it??
370 million albums/people obviously thought they were great!! so whats changed?? have they been superseded by younger/better models??? and if they have, does it make them "crap" and 370 million buyers were wrong?? :dunno:

Its all about entertainment I dont think they would cut it anymore but that doesn't matter because BJORN AGAIN are fantastic, tour all the time and put on a quality show which appeals to everyone with an open mind!

And the same goes for a lot of tribute acts, better to hear good covers of originals rather than new stuff that cant compare to the classics.:yo:

I watched that Abba thing

last night, it was very good, very close to the originals and tastefully done. Was a good laugh looking back at the 'fashions' they wore. I did see the docu on them a while ago too.

I was a huge fan of Abba, loved them to bits, I still enjoy their music, never tire of it. They had a unique formula.

I would not like to see them make a comeback, they wouldn't and have stated that they won't, offered a billion dollars and they refused. It would not be the same anyway.

I met Tommy Cooper once, that man "radiated" humour  I was a night porter in a hotel in Sheffield and he was a guest there while appearing at one of the clubs in town, he didn't have to say anything, just the simple act of picking up his glass and looking at it had everyone in fits of laughter!! he suffered very badly from problems with his legs and was in constant pain :dunno:
I was quite upset to hear how he died, IMHO a "great" comedian,!!
