After just a short ride (well, an hourish) SWMBO was complaining of a numb arse (and she WAN'T refering to me for once!) .

What is a good touring seat that keeps young ladies happy? :dunno:

I don't have an infinite amount of money either I am afraid, so what are my options?

Recent experiences of BIRD memebers that have replaced the stock seat would be most welcome....

Looks like no bugger else comes down this way! I'd put it in the coffee shop. The worst that can happen is they will shout at you. Most bikes for sale appear on the coffee shop now. :p

My missus does not moan about the OE seat, but then shes got a fat arse, so I guess that helps.

Coddy will not be posting for a while because as he quite rightly points out he is now in the process of dying, whether he does or not depends on how quickly he can dig his way out from underneath the newly laid patio -lol  and if he does get himself out he will be in intensive care for some time whilst the fractured skull heals!! I knew the frying pan that he's so keen for me to use would come into it's own one day c7u8

Anyway - to the subject, I don't find the original seat to be uncomfortable however I did try the seat on 1200 Pete's bike at Ally Pally but found that the piping was a bit uncomfortable so we decided that 'if it ain't broken etc etc' and have stuck with the original, although sometimes I do think one of those gel pads wouldn't come amiss. We did discuss having the Corbin seat without the piping and think that that would be fine so although not cheap it is certainly a solution plus it'll make your bike look good too :yo:

ps. my arse is 'generous' NOT fat
