w;;vWelcome to the madhouse HM Bit hectic on here at the moment Some of the Faggots are a bit pre- menstrual about the colour of their bird....Should have bought RED...Now to answer your question yes it's a heavy beast but like all bikes like that once on the move it's ok!
But you will know the difference comfortwise...Good choice go for it!

Welcome hmplant60. Good choice there. My other half is 62 with a medical condition that means he tires easily and still has his Bird. He rides it now and again too!

Now, back to you.

Want a sweetie little boy? Eh? Do you? Hm?

Welcome ... as long as it remains upright the extra weight really isn't any problem :-0)

How much pushing and shoving will you need to do to get it in/out of garage/shed etc?

It's certainly not a light beasty ... I guess by now the hip has settled down so you'll have an idea what you can actually do.

Maybe you should have a go shoving one around, getting on/off, putting it on centre stand etc. to see what you think :dunno:

Hi.Thanks for advice going for it playing ice hockey for years and breaking my neck in 1970 racing in motocross I have nothing to lose. So to cut a long story short blackbird here I come, ps. whats all this about the colour of bike it seems to be a big deal, I would have thought having one alone would be ok .

Bunny had a hip replaced about the same time as you.. and finds the bird fine. He had an SV650 before and his opinion is that the birds low down weight makes the bike more stable. I don't know what year the blade is but later models with stacked gearbox's though centrally weighted have a high up weight. You'll probably find the bird a very planted machine on the road. :yo:
Colour don't matter, though reds best followed by the rest, I expect some daft muppet will try to tell you otherwise.. at that point you'll know that what they have to say is bollocks.:-0)

SWMBO has a friend local to you and we may well be able to make it over . Never been to Irish road races so far , i quite like the narrow lanes used for other meetings as they are similar to the roads i grew up on .

Ride a Bird , buy a Bird , the two usually go together . Regardless of newer competition its the bike for me and might well be for a long time , who would bet against Birds still making owners happy in 20 years from now :yo::yo::yo:

Hi Hmp , am serious but May is going to be a busy month for us so will not be able to confirm anything just yet . Ferry is our only option , i wouldnt come without the bike . Are there some good roads about ? Other half says we must visit her friend in Saintfield , her husband is a course medic for the 200 . Looks like im talking myself into it . Do you go to the IOM at all ?
