good looking AND modest
Loafers, I would suggest that one of the "older" more established shops such as "Greens" or similar may still sell that particular type of shoe, failing that you may try asking at a "hire" shop such as "Moss Bros" in london, if they have none they may be able to put you in touch with a supplier, :dunno:
as for the pub, sorry havnt got a clue, as Ive never been, however the pubs I have been to at Matlock have all had that "tired" look and feel to them, :dunno:

Ahhhh...my specialist subject...vintage clothing !!!!!!

Are we talking original loafers....or the 1970's copies of the original loafers ???

If it's the 1950's style of loafers that you're after.....try here. Pricey, but the shoes are handmade and they still cater for my 'lost in the fifties' lifestyle !!!! :}

The pub

w;;v small but cosy, old traditional decor, the food menu looked nice although we didn,t try it or see it, at the time (t time/ early evening) we was in it appeared to only have locals in but friendly, beer was crap (flat) other than that a good pub to meet friends and have a chat :beer:

Ps if you are stopping over, there is a good B&B next door "Old Museum Guest House ph 01629 57783" with 4 poster beds at ?40 per room incl breakfast
