Hi Paul, after our chat, found 'believe it or not' autoglym liquid metal polish removes any buffing marks off the swingarm.. which I found to be the softest (purist) of the various alloys used on the bird. Got it that good that the wife wiped her finger across the surface and left 'scratch' marks, a light quick wipe with the AG and they vanished.

Final polishing from the buffing wheels was, turtle wax scratch remover, autoglym metal polish paste, then liquid. all so much finer than autosol.

To clean any marks I just use the AG liquid now.

Those St/steel rear wheel adjusters are pukka.:bow:

Update, I've been using autoglym alloy polish, which leaves a protective film. Also the muckoff polish over the top, the ally is staying bright and needs very little maintenance to keep it shiny.

A bike wash, dry, and full polish takes about 1 1/2 hours.
