Once polished, how are you protecting them/stopping them go dull again?

Polish, as in several layers to seal out air.

I'm told 'Briliant' is good, (one L).

In all cases I've only polished certain areas, swingarm visible top and outer faces, forks have not been polished behind mudguard and inner edges that face the wheel, alternator cover only as far as i can get without removing fairing etc etc.

Nice, but are one or two of those brake lines showing signs of yellowing?

Well spotted!!!!

Brake lines are a tad grubby (me) and most will wipe off clean... they were second hand and the slight yellowing on the odd bit was from the previous owner letting a small amount of brake fluid get between the clear sleeve and braid when he stripped them off his bike.

I contacted Goodrich who said that brake fluid will not permanently discolour the sleeving they use and may be washed out with white spirit, however white spirit should not be introduced to the inside of the brake lines/fittings pre installation... so can be done after fitting. The yellowing you can see is more likely my grubby digits and as said will be wiped off when I get a chance.

The actual pre installation yellowing is only on the LH side front brake lines that pass behind the caliper, so I'll not worry about that.

Looks a job welldone :yo:

IMHO the gold wheel rims should now be polished as well

@tu* Ummm maybe. At the moment the gold rims blend with the gold radiator cover and fairing side vent mesh. Next bit to be polished is the 'rough' sand cast clutch housing, then that'll do for this winter. Once the wheels become tatty through use I may polish the rims edges..... at a later date.
