G'Day all! I'm shootin:shooter: for a quicker quartermile time. My budget is pretty tightbrok3 , so I won't be portin, polishin, NOX, or exhausts. Bone stock 99' except for a new Barnet clutch and K/N air filter. I'm not overly concerned with top end speed so I'm considering a simple sprocket swap.

Which way to go, and how much are my questions. I've heard "go up, go down, do this do that...etc." You seem to be the brightest bunch around, any ideas?

:hLookin for quickness.

I have a 2003 that I put yoshi4 into 1 pipes, kn filter, power commander dropped it 3 inches all around, back tire was a mickey thompson mcr, front sprocket 16 and rear was 46. I made 5 passes and best at 9.96 @138. I hade bad clutch problems when it built some heat. got real stickey! left the line around 3200 rpm. it still had more!

Wankas!

Now if I can just get my bike to be as quick as some of the wits in this foruml4m3r , I'll be INVINCABLE!!!b0x1

ClutchBurninRacing suggested 1 down up front[16] and 1 up in back[46]. I'll try that for starters.

Say C.B.R. , was your clutch stock?

My buddy has a 2000 model that he put a 48 on the back. all he does is drive the front tire to the sky. keeping the front tire on the ground and sliding the clutch out as far as possiable and see what you get. If you are on a budget try finding some six inch adjustable blocks and strap the front end down.

Sorry, I did have the stock clutches in at the time. I have since changed to a lock-up clutch with stock clutch plates( minus 1 steal ring) a cable clutch conversion, 2 stage turbo, and 10 over swingarm. Still doing some tuning on a 1000ft track but looks promising!:yo:
