To answer that we would need to know definitively what the problem is, once people of ethnic origin were called coloured & to call them black was wrong, then it was wrong to call them coloured, same with the term half-caste, that then became mixed race, then dual heritage, you can be classed as racist simply by not knowing the up to date term.
To solve a dispute requires give & take on both sides however you have hard liners on both sides who refuse to cede, to live in harmony we need to accept that we are all individuals with our own feelings & thoughts & we are not all going to like each other for whatever reason, I witnessed personal race hatred in Bermuda when we walked into a bar full of black men, luckily we got out alive, white colleagues who got a two year posting to Cayman islands suffered racial abuse.
In my view the problem is that people cannot accept that we are all different, sadly racism will never be eradicated.
