If you can't keep a reasonable distance between your bike an d the bike in front then if the front bike crashes, so do you. If my pointing this out seems obvious why do you ignore it.
As for rolling the throttle ON and off. First I speed up then I slow down just to scare the shit out of idiots who stick 6 inches off my back wheel when I'm doing the speed limit. They usually drop back. What part of that is dangerous to me? What is dangerous, to me, is people folling me so closely that they will pile into me whenever I have to stop, quickly.

Is this worth a response?

Maybe if you rode a bit faster this wouldn't be an issue. Stop being mr "by the book" and open the throttle, thats what it's there for!!! From all accounts you might as well just drive a car.

Why would this scare people who are following you ??? To my mind it's an invitation for the car to play chase and catch up with you. If you then roll the throttle off with no brake light showing and the car driver doesn't react quick enough.......goodnight Vienna !!!!:-0)

In a 30 zone with GATO's for instance? I've got 9 points. 1 more NIP and I'm off the road for 6 months so no I don't speed unless I know it's safe.
As for stopping on an island, I am forced to do it almost every time I go out, by near gridlock conditions!

Hah hah hah hello

Never had a real good friend - not a boy or a girl
No-one knows what I've been through - let my flag unfurl
So I make my mark from the edge of the world
From the edge of the world
From the edge of the world

Now I'm on your track and I'm in your mind
And I'm on your back but don't look behind
I'm your meanest thought I'm your darkest fear
But I'll never get caught you can't shake me shake me dear

I'm the invisible man I'm the invisible man
Incredible how you can see right through me
Watch me
I'm the invisible man I'm the invisible man
It's criminal how I can see right through you
Look at me look at me

Because they are driving on my brakelights! I brake they brake. Thats why there are so many pile-ups. The car in front crashes and the car behind has no time to react.
As for the car keeping up! You are joking?
