Yoshimura pipes

I've been offered a yoshimura 4 into 2 full system.Does anyone know what they are like,any increase in power or decrease,or any other side affects.

I've been offered a yoshimura 4 into 2 full system.Does anyone know what they are like,any increase in power or decrease,or any other side affects.

I have these, and they do, on their own, yield decent power gains up top. Your most noticeable gains will be in the high midrange - 4-7k with pipes alone.

However, coupled with a power commander and a decent map, it'll open up the XX like you wouldn't believe. And I rather like the muted howl of Yoshimura cans - not obnoxious by any means (and they're easy to repack if you put a lot of miles on 'em).

They're not cheap (new), but worth it if you like the double cans on the XX.

The ones ive got arn't the oval ones,ive got the carbon rounds ones,got the full system of ebay for ?200.Have'nt got round to fitting them yet,need to get some exhaust gaskets.I have the carb model,would i need to get a K&N filter or would the standard filter be ok

is as good as the K&N.

Yoshimura own any pipes out there, trying to get me dad to buy some for his bike, i heard a bird hit rev limiter when doing like 110 with these pipes and jesus sounded nice and loud :-:

Well i put them on yesterday,thought it would take a couple of hrs but ended up taking 4 hrs.well worth it thought,great spread of power throughout the rev range and a fantastic noise,not too loud,just right.so i'm dead chuffed with them.
