Its true that as long as your warm and dry you can still enjoy a ride in the wet and cold weather.

But lets face there is no substitute for warm sticky tarmac on a fine clear day with plenty of visability, twists and turns up and downs gorgeous changing scenery, fine food at road side stops, good company in the sun and a full tank of petrol with no where you really need to be

God I want to get home and get out on my bike:cry:

Went for a nice ride out yesterday. Started of in sandhurst then went to Basingstoke, A338 Newbury, A4 Hungerford, A338 Wantage then Abingdon. Then to Dorchester for a little snackette at Fox's Diner and a look in M and P. From there to Henly, Twyford, Wokingham and back to sandhurst in time for the rugby kick off.

In contrast today I am teaching CBT's. :xm

Those who are out today have a good ride, rubber side down.

Wind chill makes a huge difference.... can double or treble the temperature. at 80mph this is critical.

I know that when I flatulate my bum keeps warm, then back, then neck, then choke. Did one once on the bike in summer gear, missis said it went right in her helmet........ man8um

Found it wind chill : www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/arb/durc/windchill.html
At 0 degrees C at 80mph its -17deg C.

Weather

You might be freezing, in Australia we're still frying & it's autumn. I don't know what's better, riding in a freezer or a blast furnace.

Puffs

Did 180 miles yesterday from Manchester -- Buxton -- Matlock -- Derby -- Notts and back home.

Bit cool up in the snow around Buxton but the A6 to Malock was sweeeeeet, not too salty or damp, the ABUSER was pulling like a train and i only saw 4 other bikes (except my mate on his Blade) all day.

Well we got out!!

Started off rather sweetly................

no salt and a bit more grip than first thought - peaked at 140 which wasn't bad as we never went near a motorway or dual carraige way - so Chunks later informed me

by tea time the temperature has plummeted

Does anyone know how long it takes for the testicles to resume their normal position?
